Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire because it is supplied with a two-pin plug that cannot incorporate a fuse and therefore does not meet the requirements of BS 1363. In the event of a fault or overcurrent, there is no adequate protection, which may lead to overheating and a risk of fire. Additionally, improvements are required to the documentation, markings, and instruction manual. A valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied with the product.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
