Hazard
The product presents a high risk of injury as it lacks an interlocking device to prevent operation when the lid/attachment is removed. As a result, the rotating blades remain accessible while the grinder is powered, allowing users to come into contact with dangerous moving parts. This could result in severe lacerations, deep cuts, or amputation injuries to the fingers or hands. Additionally, the product was supplied with a counterfeit plug.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
