Hazard
The product presents a serious risk of fire as the plug fuse is too small and therefore does not meet the requirements of BS 1362. A compliant, correctly rated fuse is required to ensure the safe operation of the product under fault conditions. Should a fault occur, without granular filler the plug may overheat and ignite, causing a fire.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.
Corrective action
The import has been rejected at the border.
