Product description
Bicycles in a range of colours and models. Ridgeback Comet, Motion and Speed models in all sizes sold from 2020 onwards, with the prefix 'RB21' could all potentially be affected by the identified safety issue. For a full list of models and SKUs, please see Annex A via the full notice below.
Hazard
The product presents a risk of injuries as the tyres may fail while the bicycle is in use. This could cause the rider to lose control and fall.
The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.
Corrective action
The product has been recalled from end users by Ridgeway.
Owners are advised to follow the instructions in the link below to check their tyres. Alternatively, contact your local Ridgeback Dealer to arrange an inspection and replacement if required.
