RECALL: WOOSUNG TYRES


The following product recall has featured in a Department of
the Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR) Press Release:


URGENT RECALL OF WOOSUNG TYRES

It has been identified that a limited number of "Woosung" brand
tyres have a dangerous manufacturing defect and may fail without
warning. Owners of vehicles with these tyres are urged to have
their tyres checked for safety immediately.

The recall only applies to a limited number of tyres, none of
which have been imported by the manufacturer's appointed agents.
Imported and distributed since March 1998, the sizes involved are:

  1. /65HR x 14 Woosung Darkhorse DH65

  2. /65HR x 15 Woosung Darkhorse DH65

  3. /60HR x 15 Woosung Darkhorse DH60

The production date codes range from 016 to 206 which refers to
the first twenty weeks of production during 1996. No other sizes
or production date codes are known to be affected.

If you have purchased a Woosung tyre of any of the above sizes
and date codes since March 1998 or have a vehicle fitted with any
of the above sizes and date codes, it is important for your safety
that these tyres are checked immediately.
