Families in Bromley can now book places on a wide range of fun and enriching holiday activities taking place this summer through the Holiday Activities and Food Programme.

The Holiday Activities and Food Programme, known as HAF, is organised by Bromley Council and its partners and provides holiday club places for eligible children and young people aged 5 to 16 during the Easter, summer and winter school holidays.

This summer’s programme will run from 27 July to 28 August 2026, offering activities across the borough including sports, arts and crafts, cooking, coding, drama, music, dance, games and other creative and educational sessions. Children and young people attending sessions will also receive a nutritious meal.

Councillor Jonathan Andrews, Executive Councillor for Children, Education and Families said, “We are delighted to bring the HAF Programme back for the summer holidays, giving children and young people the chance to enjoy exciting, inclusive and enriching activities in a safe and supportive environment.

“The programme offers valuable support for families during the school break, helping children stay active, learn new skills, build confidence and make friends, while also receiving a nutritious meal. I would encourage eligible families to explore the programme and book places directly with providers as soon as possible.”

Places are available for eligible children and young people aged 5 to 16. The programme is designed to support families during school holidays by offering safe, welcoming spaces where children can take part in physical activity, enjoy creative and educational opportunities, and learn more about food and nutrition.

HAF programme activities include:

  • A nutritious meal for children attending sessions.
  • Fun physical activities to help children stay active during the holidays.
  • Creative and educational activities designed for different ages and interests.
  • Opportunities to learn more about food, nutrition and healthy lifestyles.
  • Safe and inclusive spaces to meet friends and try something new.

The HAF programme is part of a national scheme funded by the Department for Education to support children and young people during school holiday periods with healthy meals, enriching activities and safe spaces to socialise.

Parents and carers will use a new booking system this summer, which includes an updated eligibility-checking process for HAF places.

Bookings for Bromley’s Summer 2026 HAF programme are now live. Parents and carers are asked to browse the programme and book places directly with Bromley HAF providers.
