Public realm improvements are being planned on Elmfield Road in Bromley Town Centre and residents are invited to a further engagement session on Thursday 10 September.
Following welcome feedback from an initial engagement session in March, residents and local businesses are invited to attend this further session at Devonshire House on Elmfield Road Thursday 10 September. Presentations are at 4pm and 6pm and drop-ins are welcome in between these times.
Further details and initial designs will be shared at the session about the proposed improvements, which look to create an enhanced setting for residents and businesses on the road, including with new planting and lighting. These details will also be shared online in due course.
Feedback will be welcomed at the session about experiences of Elmfield Road, which runs in parallel to Bromley High Street in connecting Bromley South to the entrance to the Glades. Elmfield Road provides office space for a range of businesses and is a key employment site in the borough’s Growth Plan.
Councillor Yvonne Bear, Executive Councillor for Renewal, Recreation and Housing, said: "We are moving forward with these plans to further enhance our town centre with this investment to create a more welcoming setting on Elmfield Road, which we know is a key hub for the local economy. I encourage those interested to come along and find out more about our proposals and thank you to those who have already provided helpful feedback at an earlier stage.”
Following the session, feedback will be considered in refining the proposals and works are then expected to commence in Spring 2027.
