Celebrating SEND in Bromley
The Bromley SEND Partnership are shining a well-deserved spotlight on the work of families, service providers, carers, school staff and anyone that makes a difference to the lived experiences of our children and young people with SEND and their families.
SEND Local Offer Live 2025: A celebration of support, inclusion and possibility
The SEND Local Offer Live event 2025 was a vibrant, heartwarming celebration of community, connection, and opportunity for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and their families.
Held at Bishop Justus School, the event welcomed families from across the borough to explore the wide range of support available, meet face-to-face with service providers, and discover new possibilities for their children’s futures.
With 49 service providers under one roof, families had the unique opportunity to speak directly with professionals offering advice, information, and guidance across education, health, social care, leisure, and more. From inclusive sports and therapeutic dance to legal support and transition planning, the event showcased the depth and diversity of Bromley’s SEND offer.
Parents and carers shared how valuable it was to have so many services accessible in one place. One parent quoted, ‘I thought it was perfect, lots of information available and people were so friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot!’
Children and young people were at the heart of the event, with taster sessions designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence. From dance and sport to sensory play and inclusive activities, these sessions gave young attendees a chance to try something new, meet others, and simply have fun.
The joy on their faces said it all! This was a space where they could be themselves, explore their interests, and feel celebrated.
The event wasn’t just about services. It was about connection. Families met others on similar journeys, professionals listened and responded with care, and young people were seen, heard, and valued.
Thank you to every service provider, volunteer, parent, carer, and young person who made the day so special. Your presence, passion, and participation are what made the SEND Local Offer Live 2025 a true celebration of inclusion.

Social Media Shoutouts
Social media shout-outs offered a chance for individuals to share the successful achievements of a child or young person with SEND that had filled them with pride and made them smile.
We asked individuals to tell us about services or professionals who had made a difference to the lived experiences of children and young people with SEND and their families.
These could have been small messages, quotes, pictures, podcasts, or video recordings, which we shared on the SEND Local Offer social media platforms.

Early Years SEND Celebration – Free soft play session!
Families across Bromley came together for a special Early Years SEND Celebration, creating a warm and welcoming space for parents, carers, and their children aged 0 to 5 with special educational needs or disabilities (SEND). Hosted at The Pavilion, My Time Active, the event offered two lively sessions filled with opportunities for play, learning, and community connection.
The informal atmosphere allowed parents and carers to relax while their children enjoyed a safe soft play environment. Beyond the fun, the day provided a unique chance for families to engage directly with local health and education professionals. Representatives from Bromley Healthcare Health Visiting Service, Speech and Language Therapists, the Early Years Inclusion Team, Early Years Funding and Childcare Service, Bromley Parent Carer Forum, and Your Voice in Health and Social Care were on hand to answer questions and share valuable information about local support services.
Parents and carers left with practical advice, new connections, and reassurance that help and guidance are available when needed. One parent shared: ‘My son had a great time in soft play this morning. Thank you for inviting us! I was also given some very useful information and support. Everyone was so friendly’.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to making this day such a success.
