Two new market events aimed at young people are coming to Bromley high street, giving local performers and artisans such as craft makers and food sellers the chance to get involved.

The market events will be packed full of free activities and interesting stalls for young people and are taking place along Bromley high street on Sunday 19 February 2023 and Sunday 26 March 2023, running from 12pm to 7pm.

Local businesses can get involved by running a stall or delivering youthful town centre activities. Young performers are also encouraged to get in touch as a stage will host a variety of acts throughout the day, such as musicians, dancers, or comedians. To find out more about taking part in the project, complete the contact form on our website.

Councillor Yvonne Bear, Bromley’s Executive Councillor for Renewal, Recreation and Housing said: “These exciting new market days are a fantastic opportunity for local entrepreneurs and talented performers to put themselves out there to a wider audience. A host of free activities and innovative stalls will focus the high street on our young people, with plenty for all to enjoy with friends and family. I hope to see as many local businesses and traders involved over the two days as possible.”

The market days form part of Project High Street, which aims to attract a wider audience to Bromley town centre by offering new, interesting experiences aimed at young people under 25 and is grant funded through the Greater London Authority’s High Streets for All Challenge.

The project will see the council working with a number of partners, including, Your Bromley BID, the Glades, Bromley Education and Business Partnership, MyTime Active, GLL, and Bromley Youth Council.

More information will be announced in the new year. Stay up to date with the project.
