Bromley remains one of the safest boroughs in London, and the Safer Bromley Partnership (SBP) are inviting views about the priorities for the partnership for the next 3 years.
The SBP have looked at a range of data about crime and disorder and the factors that influence it and are proposing the following strategic priorities:
- Prevention - build resilient communities by delivering a comprehensive crime prevention programme to improve safety.
- People - protect people by delivering targeted early intervention to people who are at high risk of being impacted or affected by crime.
- Places - be stronger together by designing and delivering targeted crime and disorder reduction measures in collaboration with communities in areas with the highest levels of reported crime and disorder.
Feedback is being invited on these proposed priorities for the SBP with the overall objective to ensure that the borough continues to be one of the safest boroughs in London. Consultation will close on 12 February 2024.
Safer Bromley Partnership 2024 to 2027 strategy development consultation
The responses from this survey will be considered by the SBP during the final stages of the development of the 2024 to 2027 SBP strategy.
Councillor Angela Page, Executive Councillor for Public Protection and Enforcement said, “The drivers for crime and disorder are often complex and can’t be solved by agencies working in isolation, no matter how well they are delivered. To really make a difference we need the combined knowledge, experience and resources of public, private and voluntary sector agencies.
It is important that we set the right priorities to ensure we can focus our attention on the issues that affect the most vulnerable members of our community and those that have the biggest impact on the whole community.
We would encourage you to let us know your views by completing this consultation.”
Councillor Page added, “We do want to particularly thank the many residents who volunteer in so many ways to help keep us safe and prevent crime, including by supporting Neighbourhood Watch for instance and participating at the safer panel meetings as well. We would encourage you to share your views with the Safer Bromley Partnership and respond to this consultation.”
