Businesses in Bromley Town Centre have voted overwhelmingly in favour of a third term for Your Bromley Business Improvement District (BID).
Following a four-week postal ballot, the total number of votes cast was 155, representing a combined Rateable Value of £17,210,000, 97 per cent of which was in favour, with 94 per cent voting in favour by number.
The third BID term will commence on 1 April 2026 and run until 31 March 2031 delivering an investment of approximately £3m in Bromley Town Centre.
Your Bromley Chief Executive, Chris Travers, said, “We’re delighted to have received such strong support from our business community. The result reflects businesses’ ambition for the Town Centre and we’re looking forward to working together, in partnership with stakeholders, towards the betterment of Bromley.”
Established in 2015 as a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, the BID’s range of projects includes business crime reduction, inward investment, summer planting, festive lighting, a cost reducing recycling scheme, and town centre events such as Bromley Motor Show, the Switch On, and Midsummer Movies.
