Tributes are being paid to Councillor Keith Onslow, ward councillor for Petts Wood and Knoll, who has sadly passed away after falling seriously unwell.

Councillor Onslow, who was first elected in 2014, had been a Petts Wood and Knoll ward councillor since being elected in 2018 and was also Chairman of Pensions Committee since 2017. He was also the Deputy Mayor of Bromley in 2023/24.

Councillor Colin Smith, Leader of Bromley Council said, “As we mourn the loss of Keith, our thoughts and deepest condolences naturally turn to Keith’s widow Sara and his family and friends at this desperately difficult time.

“Although Keith had been in declining health for some time, his customary passion and total determination to continue serving Petts Wood residents and doing the things he believed in remained with him until the very end.

“Keith’s stand out legacy achievement, which has become something of Local Government legend in itself, will unquestionably be his absolutely stellar Chairmanship of Bromley Council’s Pension Committee and he will be very sorely missed by all of us who knew him.

May he rest in peace.”
