Delegated sports managers (DSMs) are individuals who oversee sports activities in the borough’s parks and greenspaces, either independently or as part of a club.
What are delegated sports managers responsible for?
Delegated sports managers enter into agreements with the council to co-ordinate use of sports pitches, bowling greens, courts and cricket fields at a local level. They may also lease sports pavilions from the council. Working in partnership with the council, DSMs help promote healthy, active lifestyles and to sustain and increase participation in sport and physical activity across the borough.
