We provide a free Christmas tree recycling service for all our residents at temporary sites around the borough.  

Site locations and opening times

To recycle your real Christmas trees and other garden waste, we will open temporary green garden waste sites.

Saturday 6 January 2024: 11:00am to 16:00

  • Bromley: Norman Park, Hook Farm Road (off Bromley Common)
  • Green Street Green: Salt Depot, Shire Lane Spur (off Sevenoaks Road)
  • St Paul’s Cray: Cotmandene, Crescent car park

Sunday 7 January 2024: 8:00am to 12 noon

  • Biggin Hill: Charles Darwin School, Jail Lane
  • Beckenham: Unicorn Primary School car park, Creswell Drive (off South Eden Park Road)

Please remember to remove all decorations from your tree before you take it to the site.

Christmas trees and garden waste must not be left outside the above operating hours. This will be considered fly-tipping and fly-tippers will be prosecuted.

Christmas trees can also be recycled at Waldo Road and Churchfields Road reuse and recycling centres (closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day) - please bring your waste disposal permit. 

Residents who are members of our green garden waste wheelie bin collection service can use this service to recycle their real Christmas trees. Trees must be put in the bins for recycling and broken down if necessary.
