Applying for a school place

National Offer Day is Monday 2 March 2026.

Secondary School offer notifications will be sent after 5pm on this day.

Every Bromley resident who made an on-time secondary school application (i.e. by 31 October 2025) will receive an offer of a secondary school place on this date.

If you applied online, you will be able to log onto your eAdmissions account after receiving your offer notification to find out the details of the school offered. Please wait until you have received your email before logging onto eAdmissions.

A next steps guide is available to help you understand what options are available following your school offer.

The Admissions and Transport Team strongly encourage you to read this guidance before making decisions so that you have as much information as possible to help you in your decision making.

You must ensure that you accept or refuse the place offered online (via eAdmissions) by Friday 16 March 2026. Alternatively, you can email your acceptance or refusal to secondary.admissions@bromley.gov.uk, but must ensure that you quote your child’s name, date of birth and the name of the school offered in your email.

Important information

If you refuse the offer made without having secured an alternative school, you risk your child not having a school place for September 2026. If you decide to refuse the place offered, it is important to consider the following:

  • Once a place is refused, the offer will be removed from your child's record and will be made available to be offered to another child.
  • If you later change your mind, we cannot guarantee that the place will still be available for your child to be offered again however they can be added to the waiting list for the school.

If you are a Bromley resident and wish to add additional schools to your child’s application for September 2026 entry, please complete the additional preference form.  The additional preferences will be added to your child’s secondary application after Monday 6 April 2026.

Making an application

All applications for secondary admissions 2026 are now considered as late. Applications can still be made online until 18 August 2026. We strongly encourage families to apply online.

Please ensure that all required supporting documents are provided with your application to ensure that it can be processed without delay. Please see application terms and conditions for further information.

There are various pieces of useful information and guidance videos available on the eAdmissions website to help you.

Bromley Admissions process all school applications for London Borough of Bromley residents. You cannot apply direct to schools. If you live outside the London Borough of Bromley, you must apply via your home local authority/council, and you can include Bromley schools on your application.

Further information

You can download the applying for a school place booklet (PDF - 9.73 MB) for more information and advice

Some schools may require you to complete an additional form called a Supplementary Information Form (SIF). These are clearly marked in the applying for a school place booklet. SIFs are available from the relevant school and must be returned to the school by the closing date for applications. A SIF is not an application for a school place, and you must also apply for the school as detailed in the making an application section.

If you have any questions regarding the secondary admissions process, please email us and we will be happy to help you.

Children with an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP)

If your child has an Education, Health, and Care Plan, you must not apply through this admissions process. You will need to speak to your SEN caseworker at the council on 020 8313 4739 for advice on how to apply for secondary schools.
