Key Stage 4 transition - University Technical Colleges (UTCs)
Whilst there are no UTCs in the London Borough of Bromley, students have the opportunity to apply for these in other areas if they wish.
University Technical Colleges (UTC’s) are government funded schools with a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) focus.
They provide a unique and relevant approach to education, which addresses the changing needs of student and employers in the 21st Century. They are established by companies and universities, provide sought-after technical qualifications and benefit from industry standard equipment and specialist staff to provide students with the skills valued by employers.
Most UTCs admit from Year 10 and the application period is the same as the main secondary admission process.
