Sustainability is an important pillar to be embraced by small businesses in their development. Climate impacts are a key risk for businesses, but also represent opportunities for Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who can embrace sustainability early in their lifecycle.
There are business grants available for SMEs looking to make their business operations greener, more sustainable and gain cost and energy savings.
- Workplace Charging Scheme provides support for organisations to install electric vehicle charge point sockets at their sites. The scheme covers up to 75 per cent of the total costs of purchase and installation of EV charge points.
- Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) supports businesses with high energy use to transition to a low carbon future.
- Better Futures provides free support for London Businesses committed to reducing their energy bills and cutting greenhouse gas emissions. Support includes energy audits, webinars, networking, and carbon calculation tools.
