Introduction

Applications for support from the Household Support Fund Scheme (funded by UK Government) are now being welcomed, with funds available whilst they last or up until 31st March 2026. The primary objective of The Household Support Fund is to provide crisis support to vulnerable households in the most need with the cost of essentials.

To be eligible to apply for support you need to be over the age of 16 and a Bromley resident with a Bromley postcode and be able to demonstrate that you have rent, energy, council tax or other arrears and cannot meet those arrears.

All applicants will be required to provide bank statements for the last 3 calendar months along with a statement/bill of rent, mortgage, utilities, council tax or other arrears.

If you are a family in receipt of school holiday vouchers for one or more of your children, you are not eligible to apply for additional support from this scheme

To ensure support is available throughout the duration of the fund period, applications will be accepted and processed on a phased basis with priority given to first time applicants:

From the 27th May – 31st August 2025 we will process applications from first time applicants and those who have not previously applied/received support from the previous 2 rounds of the Household Support Fund HSF5 & HSF6 (April 2024 – March 2025)

From the 1st September – 30th November 2025 we will process applications from pensioners, first time applicants and those who have not previously applied/received support from the previous 2 rounds of the Household Support Fund

From the 1st December 2025 - 31st March 2026 we will process applications from all other residents that meet the eligibility criteria
