Bromley’s Holiday Activities and Food Programme annual report 2024 to 2025 - Programme highlights

In 2024, Bromley’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme successfully delivered holiday provisions to children and young people across the borough. A total of 28 different providers was commissioned, offering a variety of activities and opportunities for our children and young people. These providers included, local churches, childcare organisations, after-school clubs, and voluntary and community sector groups, who delivered a diverse range of activities and nutritious meals across 35 unique locations.

We increased the number of spaces available to families by 848 in comparison to spaces offered in the year 2023.

The programme saw improved performance against framework standards, with more providers scoring "Excellent" due to continued training and involvement and a passion to support their local community.

To further enrich our programme and offer, we worked in partnership with several fantastic schemes in 2024 to educate and support our young people. We were also granted matched funding from local organisations to expand the programme food offer to include take and make boxes for each HAF attendee and who paid for additional activities such as pantomime tickets during our Winter 2024 programme.

Overall, the Bromley HAF Programme in 2024 demonstrated significant progress and impact, engaging children and young people across the borough and enhancing their holiday experiences through nutritious meals and enriching activities.
