What happens next
If your child is eligible for a free place we will send confirmation with a date the funding will start. If your child is not already with a childcare provider, now is a good time to start looking for a suitable preschool, day nursery or childminder. Get more information and advice on childcare information about childcare available in your area.
Any Bromley childcare provider rated as Good or Outstanding, by OFSTED, can take children approved for a free two year old place. This means that not all our preschools, day nurseries and childminders are part of the scheme as they are not providing sufficiently good quality care and education. You should check on our website or with the provider themselves if they are a Good or Outstanding childcare provider before you visit the setting.
When would my child's entitlement start?
|If your childs birthday falls between||He or she will be entitled from|
|1 January and 31 March||Start of the Summer term (after Easter)|
|1 April and 31 August||Start of the Autumn term (September)|
|1 September and 31 December||Start of the Spring term (January)|
Also remember that all children are entitled to 3 and 4 year old funding from the term after their 3rd birthday for up to 15 hours per week for 38 weeks a year.
Please see what you need to know about free childcare for more information.
We have a complaints procedure for anyone who is concerned that their child has, in some way, been unable to access their free entitlement.
