Asbestos is a subject of great concern to many people and the dangers are well known. We provide a facility for householders at the Waldo Road re-use and recycling centre for the disposal of some of the least dangerous types.
You can also arrange a collection of small quantities of asbestos from the Corporation of London, who provide a collection service on our behalf.
Some minor works with lower risk asbestos materials can be done by the householder or a general contractor. It is essential that a safe method is followed and method sheets detailing this can be found on the HSE website
Works with higher risk asbestos materials or works on a larger scale can only be done by HSE Licensed asbestos removal contractors. Details of such contractors can be found on the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA) website.
