What’s happening in Bromley in celebration of the Coronation?

The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and Her Majesty The Queen Consort will take place at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6 May 2023. Celebrations will be held across the borough to honour this historic occasion, including over the special bank holiday weekend between 6 and 8 May.

Celebrations and events

Best decorated shop competition

A competition to name the best decorated shop in Bromley for the Coronation will be held across the borough. Businesses are encouraged to design a regal shops front display in good time ahead of the Coronation, so that residents can then nominate the borough’s best decorated shop by sending in their photos.

The Mayor of Bromley will then announce the winner in a visit to the successful shop on Friday 5 May to kick off the Coronation bank holiday celebrations. The competition will open after the Easter holidays on 13 April with nominations to be made right here!
