A free coffee recital with Francesca Massey (Organ).
This recital given by Francesca looks to be very exciting and informative! Beginning with her programme, Francesca will be performing Little Fugue in G Minor IJ S Bach), Adoration (Florence Price), Improvisation on Slane from Three Hymn Tune Fantasias (Francis Pott and Animal Parade (Iain Farrington) where she will bring at least one giraffe, monkey, hippopotamus, blue whale, sparrow, penguin, cheetah, piranha and alley cat!
There's something for everyone, especially youngsters and young of heart!
To set us up, tea and coffee (with biscuits) will be served from 11.00 am, with the recital starting at 12 noon.
There will be a retiring collection Francesca pursues a varied portfolio career as a freelance organist, choral conductor, examiner and music teacher, having worked as a cathedral musician for 15 years. Born in Birmingham, Francesca was educated at Cambridge University and the Royal Northern College of Music, holding Organ Scholarships at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle, Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge and Manchester Cathedral.
We shall leave the rest of her interesting biography for the programme on the day but rest assured we are in for a treat.
