Our concert series begins with a magnificent programme of timeless classics: Borodin - In the Steppes of Central Asia, Rodrigo - Concerto de Aranjuez, Brahms - Symphony No.3.
Conductor: Dan James, Leader: Amanda Clare and Soloist: Jack Hancher.
We are particularly thrilled to be joined for Rodrigo's iconic concerto by the exceptionally talented classical guitarist Jack Hancher. Praised by Gramophone Magazine for his "youthful intensity tempered by sophisticated musical intelligence," Jack is a true rising star. He won the prestigious Gold Medal of the Royal Overseas League Competition at London's Wigmore Hall, becoming only the third guitarist ever to do so, and his critically acclaimed recordings have been featured on BBC Radio 3.
It is a real privilege to accompany him for what promises to be a spellbinding performance.
Alongside the music, there will be plenty of time for camaraderie and community, with drinks and homemade cakes available to purchase during the interval.
Due to the increasing popularity of our concerts, we encourage you to book online in advance to secure your seats.
