Marriages and civil partnerships

Bromley registration service announcement

Covid-19 global pandemic

Further to the government announcement of 23 June, where the Prime Minister announced that religious and civil marriage ceremonies and civil partnership formations will be allowed to recommence in England if certain conditions around social distancing are met.

We cannot be certain, or give advice, on what these conditions are until further information is issued.  It will then take some time to implement the new measures.  The changes to usual practice and guest numbers will be published once they have been finalised and we will inform customers who have booked or already postponed their ceremony once we are in a position to resume a restricted service.

Therefore, all ceremonies have been postponed with immediate effect.  We will be contacting all our customers affected by this as soon as possible. We are very sorry to have to make this decision and understand this will be very upsetting for our customers. We will be offering you the opportunity to reschedule your ceremony date or have a refund.

Please do not contact the Register Office as we have no further information available at this present time.  We will contact you in due course once further clarification from the government has been given regarding ceremony options.

Future ceremonies

We are not taking any more bookings for 2020 until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. If you wish to book for 2021/2022, please complete the ceremony enquiry form.
