Health and Safety is commonly used these days as an excuse to stop people doing things and is seen as red tape. We aim to carry out our work in a way that helps business realise that effective health and safety management is a useful business tool that reduces costs to an organisation and improves efficiency.
We investigate complaints from employees and members of the public, carry out accident investigations and carry out inspections.
The programmed inspections we carry out focus on specific areas such as slips and trips and work place dermatitis.
So, what do we do?
- We advise and enforce health and safety at work within business in LB Bromley.
- We investigate complaints from employees, members of the public and also investigate accidents reported under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrence Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR).
- We carry out inspections within premises in accordance with our service plan. These inspections have included topic areas such as working at height, workplace dermatitis, slips trips and falls and asbestos.
