Library services

All Bromley libraries across the borough have now re-opened following closure due to COVID-19.

Libraries are currently operating reduced opening hours (10am-2pm) to help staff prepare the library areas, allow for additional cleaning, and ensure that books are quarantined correctly.

Check out the GLL Better website for up to date information about library opening hours and services.

The library services currently offered are:

  • Access to public computers and printing (one hour booked slots)
  • Library take away (pre-prepared bags of 5 books in a genre or category of the customers’ choice e.g. Crime, romance, picture books)
  • Reservations for open libraries (using our online catalogue)
  • Quick browse – selections of popular titles displayed so customers can view them without touching
  • Sale of food waste bags and garden waste stickers
  • Digital activity programmes and online offers will continue
