Waldo Road reuse and recycling centre re-opens as usual on 6 March 2024 following the completion of essential maintenance work at the site.

Residents are being asked to carefully plan their visit to the centre over the coming days as the site is initially expected to be particularly busy.

The extended closure was necessary to allow repair work on a collapsed drain.

Councillor Will Rowlands, Executive Councillor for Environment said, “We are pleased to re-open this much needed and visited facility. We were successful in continuing with reuse and recycling elsewhere during the period of closure and thank residents for their understanding whilst the repair work was under way.”

When visiting either the Waldo Road reuse and recycling centre or the Churchfields Road centre in Beckenham, visitors are advised to plan their journey, using the webcams to gauge how busy the sites are, especially given it is expected Waldo Road, in particular, will be busier than usual.
