Bromley Council’s Public Health team has been working in collaboration with Bromley FC to raise awareness of important local health and wellbeing services and connect more residents with support.

The partnership has promoted three key services:

As part of the collaboration, health messages were featured prominently around Bromley FC’s stadium, including on the club’s big screens, pitch side displays and website, helping to reach fans and the wider community with trusted information and support.

Public Health officers also took part in two community events hosted at Bromley FC, Ravens Chat and the Veterans Hub, where they spoke directly with residents about their health questions and concerns. Staff offered advice, signposted people to helpful local services and shared information about NHS Health Checks, SmokeFree Bromley and Lower My Drinking.

The events provided a valuable opportunity for informal conversations in a familiar community setting, helping residents access support that could make a real difference to their health and wellbeing.

To encourage engagement, Bromley FC also generously donated a signed Bromley FC shirt and matchday tickets as part of a prize draw for those attending the two events who completed a short survey with Public Health.

Dr Nada Lemic, Director of Public Health at Bromley Council said, “This collaboration with Bromley FC has helped us take public health messages beyond traditional settings and into the heart of the community. Whether through stadium advertising or conversations at Ravens Chat and the Veterans Hub, the partnership has helped raise awareness of local services and connect residents to support that can improve their health.”

The collaboration reflects the shared commitment of Bromley Council and Bromley FC to supporting residents’ wellbeing and using trusted local spaces to raise awareness of services that can help people stay healthy.
