Parking dispensation

You can apply for a parking dispensation which will allow you to park your vehicle on a waiting restriction (single or double yellow lines) in circumstances where you need to be close to a specific location.  For example, to carry out works that require continuous access to a building for loading or unloading goods or materials.

Applications should be submitted at least one working day before the required start date. Details of the cost will be provided on application but are based on a charge of £20 per vehicle per week.

How to apply

If you need to park on yellow lines, for example, to carry out works that require continuous access to a building for loading/unloading goods or materials, please apply through the Bromley permit portal

An application can be made for a maximum of one month initially with the possibility to extend, if the dispensation is required for a longer period.

Parking dispensations – conditions of use

Parking arrangements can also be made in connection with funerals, blood transfusion services, health screening, domestic removals, etc.  If you need to arrange parking for one of these reasons, please provide details of your request to park on a restriction.

Red routes

We are unable to grant dispensations for red routes.  Please visit Transport for London’s website for further information about red route dispensations.

Parking suspension

You can apply for a parking suspension to temporarily occupy restricted parking bay(s) in a specific location if you need to carry out essential work. Parking suspensions serve to keep the bays clear so that only the vehicles granted with the suspension have access. When an application is approved, yellow signs will be placed at the location indicating which bay(s) are suspended and for how long.

Examples of the work that may require a parking suspension are road works, utility works, construction projects, or where continuous access to a building or site is necessary to load or unload goods or materials.

Applications should be submitted at least three working days before the required start date. Details of the cost will be provided on application but are based on a charge of £20 per bay per day plus an administration fee of £25 per application.

How to apply

If you need to arrange a parking bay suspension, for example, to carry out road works, utility works, construction projects, or where continuous access to a building or site is necessary to load or unload goods or materials, please apply through the Bromley permit portal.  You can apply to suspend up to 10 parking bays for a period of up to 14 days.

Parking suspension – conditions of use

A parking suspension can also be arranged for a skip to be placed in a bay provided that a skip licence has been obtained prior to the suspension request.
