How to find your local library
There are fifteen branch libraries in Bromley but if you can’t find one near you try our popular Mobile Library Service. If you have problems getting out and about we also have a Home Library Service which delivers books to you in your own home.
Using your local library
It’s much easier to join the library now, and you can renew your items by phone (try our dedicated renewal phone line, 020 8460 8567) or over the internet using our online library catalogue. It’s now also free to request items we already have in stock.
What’s happening in your local library
Do you know what’s happening in your library? There are all kinds of regular events going on - story times, exhibitions, coffee mornings, careers advice - something for everyone. And free internet access too! Central Library also has a free Wifi network so bring your laptop along and surf all day. There's also free wifi access in four of our smaller branch libraries too - Anerley, Penge, Mottingham and St Paul's Cray.
Special Services
If you are studying hard, or just want to read the newspapers, the
Reference and Information Service at Central Library might just be for you. And if you are researching your family history or have homework on the history of Bromley the
Local Studies and Archive Service can help. We also have close links with the
Museums Service.
