May 2026 local election
On Thursday 7 May 2026 there will be elections to the London Borough of Bromley Council, where 58 councillors will be elected to represent the 22 wards across the borough.

- Citizens of other EU countries, who on or before 31 December 2020 had permission to enter or stay in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man, or who did not need permission, and this has continued without a break
Please note: British citizens living overseas (who are not Members of the Armed Forces, Crown Servants, British Council employees or their spouse or civil partner) are not entitled to vote in this election.

There will be one ballot paper, which will vary depending on the number of Councillors your ward elects to the council:

Polling stations
At the beginning of 2025, the council undertook a compulsory review of the polling district and polling places in the borough.
As a result of the review, there have been changes to some of the polling districts and polling stations in the borough.
Subsequently, there are three polling stations that are unavailable for these elections, so changes have been made to the following:

Postal and proxy votes
Postal vote packs cannot be printed until nominations close, which means that these may not be dispatched until 7 to 10 days before the day of poll. Please see the key dates table for details.
If this is not suitable, for example, because you are going on holiday before this time you may wish to apply for a proxy vote instead.
Update on postal vote reapplication process
If you applied for a postal vote before 30 January 2024, by law you were required to reapply by 31 January 2026. If you did not reapply, you can still vote by:
