Croydon Road Recreation Ground bandstand restoration

Buy a bandstand brick

Supporters are being invited to purchase a personalised brick around the bandstand in Croydon Road Recreation Ground and be part of local history. Bricks will be inscribed with a short message which could be a tribute to remember David Bowie, but could also commemorate a loved one, celebrate a special occasion, or promote a business.

Bricks purchased before the deadline have been installed as part of the bandstand restoration, forming a pathway around the structure and expanding the performing space. Proceeds from the sales of bricks will go towards the restoration and on-going enjoyment of the bandstand.

Once the restoration works are complete, we will reopen brick sales for further purchases, which will be installed to replace blank bricks at select intervals.

The scheme is being run in partnership with the Friends of Croydon Road Recreation Ground who have been actively fundraising along with other partners.

The bandstand bricks are £100 each which includes the opportunity to leave a personalised message and can be purchased by individuals, families, groups or organisations and businesses.

The Bandstand launch event has received exceptional interest and therefore ticket sales have been suspended as the maximum capacity has now been reached. 

Make a donation

Supporters can also make a donation using our donation form to make a contribution towards the ongoing maintenance of the bandstand. Donors will have the opportunity to leave a memorial message and print a certificate to mark their gift.
