London Borough of Bromley Retail and Leisure Study household telephone survey

A market research company, NEMS Market Research, are undertaking a telephone survey across the entirety of the London Borough of Bromley and surrounding areas including Croydon, Lewisham, Eltham, Sidcup, Swanley and Sevenoaks, on behalf of the London Borough of Bromley Council and planning consultants Firstplan. The telephone survey will run between the middle of February and middle of March 2024.

The telephone survey involves randomised calls to residents living both within and outside of the London Borough of Bromley to discuss the destinations where local residents travel to for shopping and leisure, how they use the town centres within the borough of Bromley, what they like and dislike about the town centres they use, and how they feel these town centres should look in the future.

The results of the telephone survey will be used to inform the preparation of a new Retail and Leisure Study for the borough, which will be a key strategic document setting out the type and amount of retail and leisure development which the London Borough of Bromley Council will need to plan for in the future. The findings of the Retail and Leisure Study will, in turn, inform the preparation of the council's new Local Plan.

The London Borough of Bromley Council and Firstplan thank residents for their time and participation in the survey.
