Integrated Impact Assessment

The council is preparing an Integrated Impact Assessment (IIA) which includes the Sustainability Appraisal alongside an Equalities Impact Assessment, a Health Impact Assessment and the Habitats Regulation Assessment (HRA). The HRA is an assessment to comply with the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 to assess the impacts of a land-use plan against the conservation objectives of a European Site and to ascertain whether it would adversely affect the integrity of that site.

The IIA Scoping Report (PDF - 1.98 MB) has been published alongside the Direction of Travel document. This document has been informed by consultation with Historic England, the Environment Agency and Natural England and sets the baseline of environmental, social and economic issues and the broad framework that will be used to assess the Local Plan.
