Mayor visits Crystal Palace Park

The Mayor, Councillor Christine Harris, has had the pleasure of visiting Crystal Palace Park a number of times during her Mayoral year and was delighted to officially open the Crystal Palace Park visitor centre in July 2026. The Mayor also welcomed the specialist regeneration works that have transformed Crystal Palace Park, with the removal of the internationally renowned Crystal Palace Dinosaurs being removed from Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register. The Mayor was also on hand to see the Paxton bust return to the top of Crystal Palace Park and was delighted with the discovery of the ‘time capsule’, the hand-written advice note about Santa Claus winning the Derby in 1964.
