Floating Pennywort (Hydrocotyle ranunculoides)

Floating Pennywort is native to North America. It can be floating or rooted in watercourses.

Key ID features include:

  • Shiny kidney-shaped leaves with crinkled edged (up to 7cm in diameter)
  • Fleshy stalks
  • Fine roots

We can remove Floating Pennywort within our parks, green spaces, and verges. However, we cannot remove Floating Pennywort from private property.
