We operate a number of permit parking schemes in the borough to allow parking within restricted zones or roads. Each scheme covers a carefully defined area which may be part of a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ).

You can check parking permit details for your address.

Permits may be available to businesses and residents depending upon location. Visitors' vouchers (scratch cards) may also be available to allow visitors to park in a designated permit zone on a specific day.

The cost of a permit varies depending upon the hours of operation and the extent of enforcement required. Prices start from £80 per vehicle per annum. Every vehicle in a household within a CPZ would need a permit to park in the permit bays within the zone.

The council is required by law to protect the public funds it administers. It may share information provided to it with other bodies responsible for; auditing, or administering public funds, or where undertaking a public function, in order to prevent and detect fraud.

Crown Lane car park season ticket

Once your account has been set up, you should select the ‘Permit application’ tab, then select ‘Car Park Season Ticket’ from the permit category drop down and ‘Crown Lane Car Park’ from the permit type drop down.

If you live close to the car park, you may be entitled to the Crown Lane Residential season ticket, you should select ‘Crown Lane Resident’ from the permit type drop down. You can then follow the steps to upload your proof of residency, make your payment and complete your application.

E-permits

We no longer issues paper parking permits - instead approved applications result in electronic vehicle cover from the date specified. Civil Enforcement Officers on patrol can access details of the permit for verification purposes through their handheld computers. All other terms and conditions that apply to each permit type remain unchanged.

Visitors vouchers

Visitor vouchers are not included in the e-permit scheme – paper vouchers continue to be issued and should be validated in the normal way by scratching off the correct day, date and month. The voucher must then be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle, so that the details are visible from the outside.

The vouchers are valid for one day only and for use only in the zone applied for.

Blue Badge permit for the Civic Centre car park

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology has been introduced in the Civic Centre car park in Bromley. Blue Badge holders should register for their entitlement to free and unlimited parking in order to use this facility

To register, the badge holder is required to create a permit account and apply for a Blue Badge permit. This is a virtual permit which means that only the Blue Badge is required to be displayed when using the Civic Centre car park. The permit will allow free exit and is identified when a camera at the exit matches the permit to the vehicle number plate.

Blue Badge holders can add up to three vehicles to their account, but if they alternate between these vehicles, before entering the car park each time they visit, they must ensure the correct vehicle has been selected through their account.
