Appendix A

Appendix A is a small sample of the feedback the team received from parents, carers and children and young people who attended HAF provision in 2024.

Children and young people:

• “I had fun trying new activities and now I can tell my friends when I go back to school what I did.”
• “When I started camp, I felt I had no friends but by the end of it I had so many.”
• “ Fun, Fun, Fun! That’s how I would describe my time at camp!”
• “I loved trying new foods that I haven’t had before.”
• “The food was so yummy and tasty, I even had seconds and extra snacks.”

Parents/Carers:

• “What an Amazing programme. Staff - Keep doing what you are doing, Management - Keep employing genuine, caring adults that love working with kids.”
• “My son enjoyed every minute of his summer and is now disappointed that the club has now come to an end. The team provided weekly outings which he loved and made lots of new friends. The team gave my son support and encouragement, and he had lots of fun. We are both very grateful that he had the opportunity to attendance this summer camp.”
• “Thank you and all the staff, for supporting my children and making them feel a part of this HAF community. Keep up the good work.”
• “We are really grateful to the amazing staff that run the clubs, and I hope it continues to receive funding as we couldn't make it through the holidays without the help with feeding the children and keeping them entertained.”
• “My daughter has anxiety and wets herself when nervous. Every day she has attended she’s come home dry. This really showed me how comfortable and happy she was at these days!”
• “HAF CAMPS are a brilliant lifeline for families young and old!”
