Ageing Well in Bromley
Published Friday, 13 July 2018
Bromley Council and NHS Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are working together to consider how the borough can better support local residents to live well in their later years
To help us do this we will be working together with local residents, professionals and partners to develop a new joint Strategy for Ageing Well in Bromley. The strategy will look at current and future population trends and needs across the borough and consider how best to support people to live happily, healthily and independently.
We know that the numbers of Bromley residents who are 65 and over are increasing and that people are living longer. However, where you live can have a significant impact on your life expectancy and there is an increase in the number of people living with long term conditions.
Please get involved
We have already spent some time with local residents and professionals to understand what it is like to get older in Bromley and we will be visiting dozens of community and faith groups over the summer.
We have developed a survey which will run until 26 August and we want to hear your thoughts and experiences. You can get involved by completing our Ageing well in Bromley survey
During the autumn we will consider this feedback and work with a representative sample of residents to co-produce the final Strategy for Ageing Well in Bromley. If you would like to further share your views with us, are interested in attending our open meetings with residents, or would like some more information feel free to email email@example.com.
Other ways you can contribute
Another way to contribute is by attending our public meeting Friday 24 August at 10am at Bromley Civic Centre.
If you can't make this date, we will also be holding open meetings at the libraries in the borough as well as the Cotmandene Community Resource Centre and the Mottingham Community and Learning Shop.
If you attend a group that would be interesting in having someone talk to them about the Strategy for Ageing Well in Bromley engagement please contact firstname.lastname@example.org before 17 August 2018.
Any organisations or professionals that deliver services to older people and who would like to share their views and experiences to shape the strategy then please email email@example.com for more information.
