Validation checklist - Prior approval: Agriculture and Forestry

This is to be used for development under Schedule 2, Part 6 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended). This checklist is for guidance purpose only; please ensure to check the legislation for full details as they can be subject to change.

Application form It is mandatory to provide a written description of proposal, materials to be used and the developers contact address and email (if they wish to be contacted by email).

This should be provided in the application form submitted through the Planning Portal.

Application fee* Mandatory on all applications unless a valid exemption is applied.

You must submit a supporting document/cover letter explaining reason for exemption and any relevant accompanying evidence.  Please note the Planning Portal admin fee still applies.

Photos It is useful for photos to be submitted to assist the assessment of the application.

 

Site location plan Mandatory on all applications to provide a plan indicating the site. This should be an up to date map of the site at a scale of 1:1250 or 1:2500 with the site outlined in red and should include all land necessary to carry out the proposed development (including access roads) as per NPPG guidance.
Block plan Mandatory to provide details of the siting of the proposed works including means of construction of the private way. This should be a plan to scale at 1:100, 1:200 or 1:500 with a scale bar or key dimensions annotated to show the proposed works hatched/outlined in relation to the site boundaries.
Existing and proposed floor plans/elevations Mandatory to provide details of design and external appearance. This should be in the form of proposed plans and elevations to scale at 1:50 or 1:100 with a scale bar or key dimensions annotated.
