Faulty street signs
We aim to inspect and replace damaged or missing street signs within six working days where replacements are in stock with our contractor.
Where replacement signs and street name plates need to be ordered it can take up to three weeks for them to be produced and fitted.
Requests for new signs or reviews of existing signs will be referred to our Traffic Management Team for consideration as this has an implication on how traffic is directed or road safety is communicated.
Where the reported sign is the responsibility of another authority such as Transport for London, we will notify them of the report.
Issues with Vehicle Activated Signs (typically those which display a vehicle’s speed or indicate an overhead height limit) are passed to our Traffic Management Team to liaise with the with the manufacturer regarding any faults.
